More about Jesus Cares
|
Jesus Cares is not affiliated with any particular Church or Government agency, but is a volunteer interdenominational Christian Charitable Organization (since 1987). We fully rely on Gods grace to provide for the running of HIS ministry. Our volunteers and supporters come from a range of backgrounds across the whole body of Christ.
We believe in Jesus Cares we have a uniqueness, in that whilst we do reach out to others with the basic necessities of life such as food, clothing and shelter, this does not in any way dilute our basic aim which is to bring them the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
There are many aspects of our work where we need the assistance of other agencies. We may come across people who need accommodation, drug rehabilitation, professional counseling, or are in need of urgent medical attention.
We reach out to anyone in need, offering not only food but love and acceptance without condemnation. Many of the people we meet are rejected, broken, abused and very lonely.
Through one to one ministry and the consistency of our leaders and volunteers, we are able to build up trust and relationships with those we meet and serve.
Jesus Cares is funded by the private donations of our supporters and volunteers.
We are a registered Charity and can offer tax deductibility.
MINISTRY MISSION STATEMENT.
JESUS CARES is committed to serving God and others first.
The ministry seeks to fulfill this mission by:
Obedience, trust, acceptance, compassion to understand, and whether love is shown to "these brothers of mine" MATTHEW 25: 31-46. We seek to build a healthy Christ centered ministry for all denominations, providing personal outreach in relevant, meaningful forms for people of diverse backgrounds and ages.
Expressing the love of God to all through the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives.
Equipping people for Christian service so that the gospel can be known, understood and experienced.
Sharing in the work of the gospel with the broader Christian community acknowledging that we can learn from each other and that Christs love goes beyond denominational boundaries.  |
